Covid-19 Claims 47 More Lives in Bangladesh

Bangladesh reported 47 more deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours till 8:00 am on Saturday, taking the tally to 13,118.

A press release signed by the additional director general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed this information on Sunday afternoon.

At least 2,436 new infections were recorded in the meantime taking the total number of people infected to 8,26,922, added the release.

 Meanwhile, the death rate stands at 1.59 percent.

The current positivity rate is 12.99 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.39 percent. At least 2,242 Covid-19 patients have recovered during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 7,66,266 and the recovery rate at 92.66 percent.
