Plaintiff's NID Compulsory for Filing Case: HC

When filing a case with the police stations or the lower courts, a plaintiff will be required to present a copy of his or her National ID Card.

Following a petition, a virtual bench consisting of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman gave the order on Monday.

Earlier, a writ was filed requesting orders to locate the plaintiff in 49 cases against Ekramul Ahsan Kanchan, including rape, women's assault, and robbery.

The court also issued an order directing the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to investigate the 49 incidents within 60 days.
