Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen said the non-aligned
movement's (NAM) committee on Palestine should take concrete measures toward
finding a long-term solution to the crisis.
According to a foreign ministry press release, the Foreign
Minister made the statement while speaking to a ministerial meeting of the NAM
Committee on Palestine on Tuesday afternoon.
During the discussion, the foreign minister urged the NAM to
step up its efforts to find a just, long-term, and peaceful solution to the
crisis.
He also urged the international community to move swiftly to
hold Israel accountable for violating international laws, conventions, and
principles.
During the discussion, Dr. Momen emphasized his deep worry
over Israeli forces' recent violations of the ceasefire and indiscriminate
attacks on Palestinians.
At the time, Bangladesh's Foreign Minister reaffirmed
Bangladesh's solidarity and unwavering support for Palestinians' right to
self-determination, independence, statehood, and sovereignty.
The Foreign Minister of Palestine, Foreign Ministers of
Indonesia, Algeria, Cuba, Egypt, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Malaysia were also
present during the meeting.
