2 Die, 58 Test Positive for Covid-19 in C'nawabganj

Two more persons died of Covid-19 during the last 24 hours raising the total number of deaths to 104 in the district. 

"The number of Covid-19 cases climbed to 3,965 as 58 more people were detected positive after testing 595 samples in the district during the period while the infection rate is 9.74 percent," sources of the Civil Surgeon Office in Chapainawabganj confirmed, report BSS. 

Among the new fatalities, one person is from Shibganj Upazila and another from Gomostapur Upazila.

Among the newly detected patients, 36 people are from Sadar Upazila, 16 from Shibganj Upazila, four from Gomastapur Upazila, and two from Nachole Upazila.

A total of 978 patients in which 73 in dedicated Covid-19 hospital and others at home are undergoing treatment in the district.

Meanwhile, 2,883 patients with 397 new have recovered from the disease here, the sources added.
