43 Test Positive for COVID-19 in C'nawabganj

A number of 43 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 during the last 24 hours as of this morning, raising the total number of infections to 4,008 in the district.

After two weeks, Chapainawabganj district saw a day without death by COVID-19, reports BSS.

During the last 24 hours, 479 samples were tested and the infection rate was 8.97 percent, sources in the Civil Surgeon Office confirmed.

Among the newly detected patients, 25 people are from Sadar Upazila, two from Shibganj, 10 from Gomastapur, and six from Bholahat Upazila.

A total of 1,021 patients are taking treatment. Among them, 73 are in dedicated Covid-19 hospital and others are undergoing treatment at home.

A total of 104 persons have so far died of  COVID-19 in the district.

Among the total fatalities, 67 persons are from Sadar Upazila,  24 from Shibganj Upazila, seven from Gomostapur Upazila, four from Nachole Upazila and two from Bholahat Upazila.

Meanwhile, 2,883 patients have recovered from the deadly disease here, the sources added.
