Moghbazar Blast Isn't A Sabotage, Says IGP Benazir

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Dr Benazir Ahmed today said Moghbazar building blast has not been appeared to be an act of sabotage rather gas accumulation might be the cause behind the explosion as methane gas is still found inside the building.

“Moghbazar blast is not a sabotage, gas accumulation might be the cause of explosion,” the IGP told journalists after inspecting the incident site this afternoon.

Replying to a query of journalists, the IGP further said police and the Fire Service and Civil Defence are working together on it and the real fact would be revealed immediately.

Seven people, including women and children, were killed and more than 50 others were injured in the blast that took place at Moghbazar around 7:30pm last evening.
