The Trading Corporation of
Bangladesh (TCB) will start selling daily commodities at affordable prices from
Monday (July 5). This activity will continue till July 29.
TCB joint director and
spokesperson Md Humayun Kabir confirmed the matter on Sunday (July 4th).
Humayun Kabir said the truck
sale activities will continue till July 29 (excluding Eid-ul-Azha holiday). The
decision of this activity will be taken considering the next situation.
Arrangements have been made to
sell sugar, lentils and bottled soybeans at subsidized prices in mobile trucks
through TCB dealers in different areas of the capital. Dealers will sell
products in compliance with hygiene rules.
A spokesman for the TCB said
law enforcement would monitor the selling to ensure hygiene and safe distances.
Earlier, to help people with
limited incomes amid the coronavirus pandemic, it started selling products at
affordable prices on June 6 and continued till June 17.
