DMP Arrest 1,102 for Breaching Rules on 7th Day of Strict Restrictions

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested a record 1,102 people in a single day for the breach of restrictions of a strict lockdown imposed to curb a surge in coronavirus infections.

Besides, the mobile court run by DMP has fined 245 people one lakh 71 thousand 980 taka. 604 vehicles have been fined 16 lakh 8 thousand 500 taka.

Eight divisions of the DMP took legal action against these individuals and vehicles during the seventh day of the strict lockdown on Wednesday (July 7th).

DMP's Media and Public Relations Department sources made the remarks to the journalists.
