On the seventh day of strict lockdown, 1102 people were detained in the capital for violating the rules of strict lockdown.

In addition, the mobile courts fined 245 people a total of Tk 1,71,980.

Iftekharul Islam, the additional deputy commissioner of media and public relations division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police told the media in this regard.

He also said 804 vehicles that went outside unnecessarily during the lockdown were sued and fined about Tk 18,68,500.

To fight the alarming spread of coronavirus, the government imposed a strict lockdown across the country beginning July 1.
