A Bangladeshi
youth named Abdur Razzak (19) was shot dead by the Indian Border Security Force
(BSF) at the Kaliganj border in Satkhira.
The incident
took place around 2.30 pm on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Abdur
Razzak, son of Ramzan Ghazi of Kamdevpur village under Bharashimla union of
Kaliganj upazila.

member Abdul Khaleq Khan said he heard gunshots at the border between two and
two-thirty at night. He learned from locals that the body of Abdur Razzak, who
was shot dead, was taken away by the BSF from the north side of the Hingalganj
BSF camp near the Ichhamati River on the border.
Abdur Razzak's
death has been confirmed by his uncle Habibur Rahman Sabuj.
He said they had
appealed to the BGB to bring back Abdur Razzak's body.
Habildar Khalilur
Rahman of BGB's Basantapur BOP said the BGB had been informed about the death
of Abdur Razzak by his family. A letter will be sent to BSF regarding their
letter.
