MMCH Sees 18 More Deaths at Corona Unit in 24 Hrs

At least eighteen people died while undergoing treatment at the Covid-19 unit of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) in the last 24 hours.

Among the deceased, 10 people died from coronavirus infections while eight died with Covid-19 like symptoms, reports media.

The MMCH’s corona unit spokesman Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon confirmed the matter.

As many as 462 Covid-19 patients are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital, he said.

In the past 24 hours, some 84 people have been admitted to the hospital with Covid-19 symptoms, he added.  

Besides, District Civil Surgeon's Office sources said 265 fresh Covid-19 cases detected among 975 sample tests in the last 24 hours, yielding the virus positivity rate of 27.17 percent.
