Domestic Flights Will Resume on July 15

The Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) has decided to start flights on all domestic routes from July 15 (Thursday) in compliance with health regulations.

For the time being, CAAB has allowed domestic airlines to operate flights till July 22. Although no official notification has been issued yet, the state-run airline has approved the airlines' seven-day flight schedule.

Private airline NovoAir has announced a 7-day flight in a notification. According to the airline, six flights will be operated daily from July 15 to July 22 in Chittagong, Syedpur, Jessore, four in Barisal, three in Sylhet, three in Rajshahi and two in Cox's Bazar.

US-Bangla Airlines has also decided to operate domestic flights from Thursday in compliance with health rules.

US-Bangla Airlines General Manager (Public Relations) Md Kamrul Islam said on Tuesday (July 13th) that it has been decided to operate five flights from Dhaka to Chattogram, two to Cox's Bazar, seven to Syedpur, six to Jashore, four to Sylhet-Barisal and four to Rajshahi.

Considering the socio-economic condition of the country, the government has relaxed all the restrictions imposed from midnight on July 14 (Wednesday) to 6 am on July 23 (Friday) in the interest of keeping economic activities normal. 

However, there will be strict restrictions again for 14 days from 6 am on July 23 to 12 noon on August 5 (Thursday). The Cabinet Division has issued a notification in this regard. The notification was issued on Tuesday afternoon.
