For now, if no worker
joins the factory, there is nothing to worry about. State Minister for Public
Administration Farhad Hossain has said that garment workers will not lose their
jobs.
Export-oriented
industries, including garment factories, will open on Sunday (August 1). And
with this announcement, the influx of people towards Dhaka has started on
Saturday (July 31).
Thousands of workers
are entering Dhaka through various entries. They are coming to work with
endless suffering as the public transports are not plying due to lockdown.
The state minister for
public administration said, " BGMEA cleared the matter yesterday."
Those who are staying in Dhaka, especially those who did not go home on Eid and
those who returned by July 22, will run the factory. They will not bring any
staff from the capital’s outside.‘'
