Biman Suspends International Flights on 7 Routes

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended all international flights on seven routes till August 15.

The national flag carrier announced the development with a notice on its website on Sunday (August 1).

Flights to Kolkata of Delhi of India, Kuwait, Kathmandu of Nepal, Medina of Saudi Arabia, Manchester of United Kingdom (UK), and Bangkok of Thailand will remain suspended till August 15.

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020, seven of these routes had been suspended except for Kuwait and Kolkata. However, flights to Kuwait and Kolkata were canceled due to travel ban.
