Cases of 6 Persons including Helena-Piyasa Handed Over to CID

Six more cases filed against Helena Jahangir, Faria Mahbub Piyasa, Masudul Islam alias Jisan, Nazrul Islam Raj, Sabuj Ali and Sharful Hasan alias Mishu Hasan under various laws have been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Additional Superintendent of Police Azad Rahman of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) confirmed the information on Wednesday (August 11th) evening.

He said a case was filed against Helena Jahangir at the DMP's Gulshan police station on July 30 under the Digital Security Act. The case has been handed over to CID.

On August 5, Masudul Islam alias Jisan and Piyasa filed a case under the Narcotics Control Act at Khilkhet Police Station, Nazrul Islam Raj and Sabuj Ali at Banani Police Station under the Pornography Control Act, Masudul Islam alias Jisan at Bhatara Police Station under the Special Powers Act of 1974 and Sharful at the same police station. The case filed against Hasan alias Mishu Hasan under the Arms Act and the case filed against Masudul Islam Jisan and Sharful Hasan alias Mishu Hasan under the Pornography Control Act at Bhatara Police Station has been handed over to the CID.

Recently, all these 6 people have been arrested in separate raids by RAB and police.
