Three Neo-JMB Men including Key Bomb Expert Sent to Jail

A court here today sent to jail three members including a key bomb expert and chief of the "military wing" of banned militant outfit neo-Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB).

They are: Md Jahid Hasan alias Raju alias Ismail Hasan alias Forkan, Saiful Islam Maruf alias Basira and Md Rumman Hossain Fahad alias Abdullah.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Dhiman Chandra Mondal sent the trio to jail as police produced them before the court after the end of their four-day remand in an anti-terror act case and pleaded to keep them behind the bars till the end of the probe in the case.

The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police on August 10 arrested from capital's Kafrul area and recovered different explosive materials from them.

Of the three, Md Jahid Hasan is allegedly the chief of the militant group's military wing and its key bomb expert.
