Deposition Lodged against Dr Asif Nazrul

A deposition has been lodged against Dhaka University’s Professor of Law Dr Asif Nazrul. However, the case has not been registered yet.

Nahid Hasan Shahin, the Bangladesh Chhatra League's (BCL) central human resource development secretary, appealed for the case on Wednesday (August 18).

Sajjadur Rahman, the deputy commissioner of the Ramna division of the police, said, "We have received a deposition from a case." It has been sent to the Cyber ​​Crime Department. If they give their opinion after checking and sorting, legal action will be taken.

In the statement of the case, the plaintiff alleged that Dr Asif Nazrul, a law professor at Dhaka University, posted a status on his personal Facebook ID and Facebook page saying, "If there is a fair election, Kabul airport type scene could be seen in Bangladesh."

The plaintiff felt that this status could tarnish the image, reputation and law and order of the country.
