Jatiya Sangsad (JS)
standing committee on ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary affairs today
discussed on the delimitation of constituencies bill 2021 and Gandhi Ashram
(trustee bill) bill 2021 at a meeting held at JS here today.
After elaborate
discussion on both the bill, the committee recommended for placing the reports
at the parliament for enactment as law, a parliament press release said.
With committee chairman
M Shahiduzzaman Sarker in the chair, the meeting was attended, among others, by
committee members and law, Justice and Parliamentary affairs minister Anisul
Huq, Mostafizur Rahman, M Shamsul Haque Tuku, M Abdul Mazid Khan, Shamim Haider
Patwary, Gloria Jharna Sarker, Selim Altaf Jeorge and Khodeza Nasrin Akhter.
At the outset of the
meeting, the committee prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls of Father
of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members those
were killed on August 15, 1975 including Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib,
the national four leaders and all other martyrs since the War of Liberation in
1971.
The JS body also
expressed condolence over the death of former committee chairman Abdul Matin
Khosru and observed one minute silence seeking eternal peace of his departed
soul.
