Over Hundred RMG Workers Sick after Getting Covid-19 Vaccine

Over 100 workers of a garments factory in Mouchak area of Kaliakoir upazila in Gazipur fell ill after taking second doses of Covid-19 vaccine.

The sick workers have been admitted to various local hospitals. 

On Thursday (August 26) morning, the second dose of Sinopharm was given to the garment workers of Sadma Group's Mouchak Knit Composite Limited factory in Mouchak area of ​​Gazipur.

The workers fell ill 5 minutes after the vaccination. Later, the factory authorities sent the workers home with first aid.

Sadma Group Director Mohammad Sohail Rana said they had been sent home with first aid after falling ill shortly after the vaccination.

Dr Khairuzzaman, civil surgeon in Gazipur, said vaccination activities had been suspended since the workers fell ill. Sick workers have been given first aid.
