E-Orange customers face police obstruction while conveying a memorandum to the Commerce Ministry demanding delivery of ordered goods or refund of money invested.

Later, the police dispersed their baton charge when the customers went to the National Press Club with protest procession. At least 10 people were injured. Police later arrested some people from the spot.

The incident took place around 10:30 am on Thursday (September 23).

Earlier, e-Orange customers took position in front of the press club. There they held human chains under the banner of the Central Committee. At that time the convener of the committee Afzal Hossain presented his demands.

"The police have attacked our peaceful program," he said. 10 of us were injured. Several people have been detained. We will give new programs. Why would the police attack innocent people, we were holding a peaceful program. We will reunite in Shahbag.

Meanwhile, they chanted slogans against police officer Sohail Rana and cricketer Mashrafe bin Mortuza. E-Orange customers also chanted slogans against the Ministry of Commerce and e-commerce.
