The court has sent Islamic Orator
Mufti Kazi Ibrahim to jail after ending the remand period in a digital
security act (DSA) case filed with Mohammadpur police station.
On Saturday (October 2nd),
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahinur Rahman's court denied bail and ordered
him sent to jail.
Earlier, the investigating
officer of the case, SI Mohammad Hasanuzzaman of the Cyber and Special Crime
Division of the DB Police, produced Kazi Ibrahim in court after remand and
requested him to be kept in jail. Advocate Abdur Razzak applied for bail on
behalf of Kazi Ibrahim. Bail was opposed by the state. After hearing both
sides, the court denied bail and ordered him to be sent to jail.
Earlier on September 29, the
court granted a two-day remand to Kazi Ibrahim.
