Ex-Health DG Abul Kalam Azad Gets Ad Interim Bail

A Dhaka court today granted Abul Kalam Azad, the former director-general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), ad interim release in a case filed over the Regent Hospital scandal.

After Abul Kalam Azad surrendered before the court, seeking bail in the case, Judge KM Emrul Kayesh of the Senior Special Judge's Court of Dhaka issued the order.

The bail order will be in effect until November 2, said the judge.
