Trawler Capsizes in Turag River, 3 Bodies Recovered

At least three dead bodies were found and four people remained missing after a trawler capsized in the Turag River early Saturday.

The accident took place on Saturday (October 9) morning.

Confirming the matter, Lima Khanam, duty officer at the fire service headquarters, said the news of the trawler sinking was received around 8.50 am today. Immediately, three divers of the fire service were sent to the Turag river in Aminbazar. Work is underway to rescue the missing.

The trawler had 18 passengers, according to fire service sources.
