Law Minister Anisul Haque said the next election commission will be formed through a search committee, adding that the search committee is also close to the law. This time the Election Commission will be formed through this search committee. After that, a law will be enacted in this regard. Because it is not possible to make any law by February 15.

He was speaking at the 'Meet the Reporters' program organized by Dhaka Reporters' Unity in the capital's Segunbagicha on Sunday (October 10th).

The law minister said there was no room for further controversy over the caretaker government. Because there is a verdict of the Supreme Court in this regard. And when we obey the verdict of the Supreme Court, we feel proud of ourselves.

Mentioning that the permanent release of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia is not in the hands of the government, Anisul Haque said her case is pending in the court. If she wins the case, she will be released permanently.

The law minister said a decision has been taken to form a commission of inquiry to find out the culprits behind the conspiracy to assassinate Bangabandhu and his family members.

He said steps have already been taken to form a commission. This commission is to get rid of the distorted history and guide the true history in the right direction and pass it on to future generations.

The law minister also said that a law will be enacted soon for the appointment of judges in the high court.

Responding to a question on the separation of the judiciary, Anisul Haque said the judiciary is largely free from the influence of the executive branch.
