Pirates Won't Be Pardoned in Murder-Rape Cases

Mentioning murder and rape as heinous crimes, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Benazir Ahmed says No legal assistance will be provided to those who have committed murder and rape among the pirates who have surrendered since 2016.

He was speaking at noon on Monday (November 1) at Rampal in Bagerhat on the occasion of the third anniversary of the bandit-free Sundarbans Day and the Rehabilitation of Surrendered Persons-2021.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal was present as the chief guest at the function presided over by RAB Director General (DG) Additional IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun.
