Voting to Sirajganj-6 By-Polls, 9 Municipalities Underway

Voting to Sirajganj-6 by-polls and 9 municipalities across the country is underway, reports media. 

The voting began at 8.00 am on Tuesday and will continue till 4.00 pm without any break.

About 4,20,780 voters will cast their votes at 160 voting centers through EVM in Sirajganj-6 by-polls.

The seat fell vacant after Awami League lawmaker Md Hasibur Rahman Swapon passed away on September 2 while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Turkey.

Meanwhile, the municipalities those are holding votes are Ghorashal in Narsingdi district, Chagalnaiya in Feni, Sonatala in Bogra, Ghoraghat in Dinajpur, Domar in Nilphamari, Lohagarh in Narail, Pakundia in Kishoreganj, Kasba in Brahmanbaria, and Ramgarh in Khagrachhari.
