A meeting on the transport
strike issue was scheduled to be held at the Home Ministry at 7 pm. But 40
minutes before the start of the meeting, it was abruptly postponed.
On Saturday (November 6) at
5:20 pm, the meeting was postponed, said the public relations officer of the
Ministry of Home Affairs Md Sharif Mahmud Apu.
He said the meeting at 7 pm
today would not be due to unavoidable reasons. Later on the day of the meeting
will be informed in time.
Apart from Home Minister Asaduzzaman
Khan Kamal, those concerned were supposed to be present at the meeting.
Journalists started coming to
the Home Ministry from the afternoon to cover the meeting. In their presence,
the meeting was abruptly adjourned.
Meanwhile,
the Truck Workers-Owners Federation has taken a stand in favor of continuing
the strike demanding withdrawal of the decision to increase diesel prices or
increase fares.
After a meeting with the Home
Minister in Dhanmondi at noon, the leaders of the federation took this position
to realize their demands.
After the meeting, Abdul
