Students Get Half Fare Facility in All BRTC Buses

Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) will continue to allow students to travel by its buses with half fare during their educational institution-bound journey.

Students across the country will get such facility and BRTC has sought cooperation from all quarters concerned so that students can avail this opportunity smoothly, said BRTC Chairman (additional secretary) Md Tazul Islam, reports BSS.

Md Tazul Islam said BRTC will continue such facility for students in line with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's instructions.

He asked all staff of BRTC buses, including drivers and conductors, to follow this instruction strictly and not to involve any unnecessary brawl with students about the fare.

"We need support and co-operation from students so that non-students cannot take advantage of this facility," he added.

The BRTC chairman further said that any non-student tries to take advantage of this facility would be dealt as per the law.
