State Minister for Information Murad Asked to Resign

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has asked State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Md Murad Hasan to resign from the cabinet.

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said he was ordered to resign on Monday night (December 6).

Quader said, "I have talked to Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina this evening and I have conveyed the message to State Minister Murad Hasan at 8 pm tonight."

Biography of Murad

Murad Hasan is a Member of Parliament from Jamalpur-4 constituency. A politician by profession, he is a central member of the Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad (Swachip) and the Ekattar Ghatak-Dalal Nirmul Committee. When the Awami League formed the government after winning the Eleventh Parliamentary Election, he was given the responsibility of the Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare. Later, in May 2019, he was appointed as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
