US Sanctions on RAB Officials Unfortunate: Law Minister

On Sunday Law Minister Anisul Huq said issuing restrictions on seven former and current high officials of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) by the United States from entering that country is "unfortunate", reports media.

He made the remark while replying queries from reporters after attending as chief guest a meeting on the occasion of inauguration of the 26th judicial administration training course for district and sessions judges and metropolitan sessions judges in Dhaka.

Mentioning that there is no extrajudicial killing in Bangladesh, the minister said allegation on which the US issued the restrictions is "imaginary".
