Who And How to Get Booster Dose

The coronavirus vaccine booster dose has started today, Sunday (December 19). However, you do not need to re-register for the booster dose. This dose will be matched from the previous registration.

The first to receive the vaccine are people--doctors, nurses, government officials, media workers and people over 60. Then you will get others to step by step.  

The Department of Health says those who have taken two doses of the vaccine will receive a booster dose in turn. No need to re-register in the security app.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque inaugurated the 'Booster Dose Delivery Program' at the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPSA) auditorium in Mohakhali today (December 19) at 12 noon.

A health ministry official said the security app already had information on registrants. Vaccine recipients have national identity card number and mobile number in the app. In this case, those who will get booster dose, they will be informed where and when to come, via SMS.

Mushtaq Hossain said yesterday, "There will be no problem if you take a booster dose of Pfizer." Pfizer's booster will do better for those who have taken other vaccines. '

At a function yesterday (December 16), the health minister said there are currently 6 million Pfizer vaccines in the country. 2 crore more vaccines will come next month. About 70 million people in the country have been vaccinated with the first dose and about 45 million people have been vaccinated with the second dose. In the meantime, 30 percent of people have been vaccinated in two doses.
