Hossain paid a courtesy call on President Mohammad Abdul Hamid.
At a meeting at
Bangabhaban on Wednesday evening (December 29), the President thanked the
outgoing Chief Justice for speeding up the process of resolving cases by
ensuring that virtual justice was administered during the Covid-19 epidemic.
After the meeting,
President's Press Secretary Mohammad Joynal Abedin said, "It was a
courtesy call on the outgoing Chief Justice."
Referring to the Supreme
Court as a great sanctuary for the people seeking justice, President Hamid
lauded his initiative and commitment to the overall development of the
country's judiciary.
Meanwhile, the Chief
Justice expressed his gratitude to the President for his overall cooperation in
discharging his duties.
Secretary to the
President's Office Sampad Barua, Military Secretary Major General SM Salah
Uddin Islam, Press Secretary Mohammad Joynal Abedin, and Secretary (Joint)
Mohammad Wahidul Islam Khan were present at the time.
