The Supreme Court on Sunday directed that two daughters will stay with their mother--Japanese national Eriko Nakano--till February 6, reports media.

A five-member Appellate Division bench, headed by Justice Md Nuruzzaman, passed the order after hearing.

Justice Nuruzzaman said Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique is now hospitalised. The case will be heard by the bench headed by the Chief Justice. Till then, SC's earlier directive remains in force.

The Supreme Court on January 3 directed that two daughters--Nakano Jasmine Malika, 11, and Nakano Laila Lina, 9,--of Bangladeshi father Imran Sharif and Japanese mother Nakano will stay with their mother till January 23.

Today, the court extended its earlier order.

Though the children will stay with their mother, their father Imran Sharif can visit them between 9 am and 9 pm every day.
