QR Code To Be Introduced in DB's Jackets

Members of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Detective Branch (DB) police wear sleeveless jackets over their plain clothes. In front of it is written 'DB' in English on the right. On the left is the logo of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). Only 'DB, DMP' is written in English on the back.

Fraudsters and criminals are easily committing heinous crimes like snatching, robbery and kidnapping by pretending to be fake members of DB. DB's clothes are being changed keeping in mind these misdeeds.

Quick response code or QR code is being added to their jacket. Soon each DB member will be given a jacket with a separate code attached.

Information of all DB officers will be stored in advance on their own server. After scanning the member's QR code with the mobile app, their identity will be revealed.

And if a DB's fake clothing code is scanned, a message called 'Invalid QR Code' will appear.

The DB said the garments could be delivered later this month or early February. The new dress will have QR code on the chest. Clothing is used to make clothing that is comfortable for both winter and summer. In addition, the garment will have a special color that can be distinguished from the real-fake police. Even this garment is being made with special type of fabric so that it is not available in the market.

In this regard, DB Joint Commissioner (South) Mahbub Alam said, new clothes are being made so that no one can cheat people with fake DB identity. In addition to the QR code, there are some security measures in the garment, due to which it will not be possible to easily cheat.
