Light Rain Likely in Parts of Country

Light rain and drizzle is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, a met release said on Tuesday, reports UNB.

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, said the release issued for 24-hour commencing at 9:00am Tuesday.

Moderate to thick fog may occur at some places over the river basins and north-western part and light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere over the country during midnight to morning.

Mild cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur division and the districts of Noagaon and Moulvibazar and it may abate at some places.

Night temperature may rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius over southern part and it may rise slightly elsewhere over the country.

Day temperature may rise slightly over the country.

Trough of Westerly low lies over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over South Bay.

Country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 27.3 degrees Celsius at Mongla and minimum temperature on Tuesday was 7.1 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.
