Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in anti-drugs drives have detained 62 people along with drugs from different areas of Dhaka city, reports media.
DMP additional deputy commissioner (media and public relations) Hafiz Al Asad said police conducted anti-drugs drives in different areas of the city in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning and arrested them for consuming and selling drugs.
During the drive, 10,648 Yaba tablets, 266 grams of heroin, 56.32 kilograms of hemp and 25 bottles of Phensedyl syrup were recovered from their possessions.
A total of 47 cases were filed with the police stations concerned under the Narcotics Control Act, he added.
