Victoria Nuland, the US State
Department's Under Secretary for Political Affairs, said two agreements had
been drafted with Bangladesh on the military issue of GSOMIA and ACSA. She said
that in the future, these could become agreements.
The US Under Secretary Nuland told reporters after the eighth partnership dialogue between Bangladesh and the United States held at the state guest house Padma on Sunday (March 20).
Nuland said relations with
Bangladesh have improved a lot in the last 50 years and will be stronger in the
future. Two agreements have been drafted with Bangladesh on GSOMIA and ACSA on
military issues. Which may turn into an agreement in the future.
The meeting started after 11 pm
and lasted for about two hours. Foreign Secretary Masud bin Momen led the
meeting on behalf of Dhaka. On the other hand, Victoria Nuland, Under Secretary
for Political Affairs, represented the United States.
