Govt Sets New Office Schedule for Ramadan

On the occasion of the upcoming Ramadan, the office will be open from 9 am to 3 pm. There will be a break of 15 minutes (1:15 pm to 1:20 pm) Zuhr prayers.

Today, Monday (March 28), the Cabinet set the official schedule for all government, semi-government and autonomous organizations for Ramadan. Holy Ramadan will begin early next month, subject to the sighting of the moon.

The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Prime Minister's Office. Later, Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam briefed reporters about the meeting at the Secretariat.

He said the office hours of banks, insurance and financial institutions have been extended from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. Weekly holidays will be Friday and Saturday as usual.
