Two Held with Yaba And Cannabis in Noakhali

Two persons were held by Detective Branch along with cannabis and Yaba pills at Sonaimuri Upazila in Noakhali district on Friday night, reports media.

The arrested were Shohidulla, 42, son of Abdul Khaleq, a resident of village Dharmapur of the Upazila, and Helal Uddin Pintu, 32, son of Aku Molla, a resident of Vanuai area.

Detective Branch Police OC Saiful Islam said, acting on a tip-off, that Noakhali DB Police conducted an anti drug drive at Sonaimuri Upazila and arrested them from Dharmapur village on Friday night around 11: 30 pm.

At that time 800 gm of cannabis and 100 Yaba pills were seized from their possession.  

A case was filed against them with Sonaimuri Police Station under Narcotic Control Act, said DB official.
