The High Court has directed to return the smuggled money of e-Orange's customers and distribute it among the victims. At the same time, the court directed to take action against the money launderers.
Besides, it has been directed to submit a report in this
regard within the next four months. The court also issued a rule asking why no
directive would be given to form a high-level committee in this regard.
The High Court bench of Justice Mohammad Nazrul Islam
Talukder and Justice Kazi Mohammad Izarul Haque Akand passed the order on Thursday
(April 7).
Advocate Ahsanul Karim and Barrister M Abdul Qayyum appeared
for the writ petition. Deputy Attorney General AKM Amin Uddin Manik represented
the state.
