Students, Traders Clash Again in New Market Area

Dhaka College students again clashed with traders in the capital's New Market area on Tuesday morning.

The traders are throwing brickbats at the students inside the main gate of Dhaka College. Traffic has remained closed.

Chase and counter-chase between traders and students began around 10:40 a.m.

Earlier, Dhaka College students clashed with traders on Monday midnight.

According to sources, two students of Dhaka College went to New Market to buy products at night.  An altercation ensued between the students and a shop owner and staff. Hearing the news that two students were stabbed, Dhaka College students rushed to the area and locked into a clash with traders.

Police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the clash and brought the situation under control.
