Traders-Students Clash at New Market: One More Dies

A shop worker named Md Mursalin (24) was killed in a clash between traders and students of Dhaka College in the New Market area of ​​the capital. Two people died in the incident.

He died at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital around 4.40 am on Thursday (April 21).

Mohammad Bachchu Mia, in charge (inspector) of the police camp at Dhamek Hospital, confirmed his death.

Mursalin was injured on the second day of clashes on Tuesday (April 19). He was rushed to the emergency department of Dhamek Hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead in the ICU by doctors on duty this morning.

Bachchu Mia said Mursalin died while undergoing treatment at the ICU of Dhaka Medical College in Newmarket. Two more people are undergoing treatment in this incident. They are Mohammad Yasin (18) and Mohammad Kanan Chowdhury (20).

Mursalin's brother, Nur Mohammed, said: "My brother was an employee of a pants shop in New Market, New Market."
