Police have filed two cases in connection with a clash between Dhaka College students and traders in the New Market area of ​​the capital. A total of 1,200 people, including traders, staff, and students of Dhaka College, have been accused in the two cases.

Deceased Nahid's father Md Nadim Hossain, has also filed a murder case with the New Market police station. He mentioned unidentified accused in the case. In these three cases, about 1,400 people have been made unidentified accused. However, in only one of the three cases, the names of 24 people have been mentioned. The plaintiff, in this case, is the police.

The persons named in the case are Advocate Maqbool, Amir Hossain Alamgir, Mizan, Tipu, Haji Jahangir Hossain Patwari, Hasan Jahangir Mithu, Harun Hawlader, Shah Alam Shantu, Shahidul Islam Shahid, Japanese Faruk, Mizan Bepari, Asif, Rahmat, Sumon. , Jasim, Billal, Harun, Toha, Monir, Bachchu, Julhas, Mithu, Mintu and Babul.

Among the accused, Advocate Maqbool is said to be the president of New Market Thana BNP.

New Market Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sh M Qayyum confirmed the information on Thursday (April 21) afternoon.

He said that a case has been registered under section 43/147/149/186/332/353/427/34 for obstructing the work of the police and for attacking the police, injuring them by throwing brickbats and vandalism. The names of 24 people have been mentioned in this case. 200-300 unidentified New Market traders and staff have been accused in the case. Besides, there are 600-700 students of Dhaka College as unidentified.
