Mother, Son Electrocuted in Noakhali

A woman and her son were killed from electrocution at Subarnachar Upazila in Noakhali district on Thursday evening, reports media.

The deceased were Kohinur Begum, 35, wife of Nesar Uddin, and her son Yasin, 3, residents of Char Fakira village under Sonadia union in the Upazila.

Kohinur used to work as a housemaid at Jamindar Shahin’s house in Purba Charbata village.

Police said locals spotted the bodies stuck with a torn electric wire at a garden nearby their house in the evening and informed police.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent them to Noakhali 250 Bed General Hospital morgue for an autopsy, said Char Jabber Police Station in-charge Shah Alam.

He assumed that Kohinur and her son Yasin might have come in contact with the wire when they were going to neighbour’s house.
