Bangladesh Meteorological Department predicted rain in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours, commencing at 9:00 am Saturday, reports BSS.
"Rain or thundershowers with intense lightning flashes accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Mymensingh, Dhaka, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions," said a met office bulletin issued Saturday morning.
Rain or thundershowers may occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, and Barishal divisions with hails at isolated places.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin said.
The highest temperature on Friday was recorded 35 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga, while today's minimum temperature was 20.4 degrees Celsius in Sayedpur under Rangpur division.
The sun sets at 6:23pm today and rises at 5:31am tomorrow in the capital.
