Cumilla City Corporation Election To Be Held on June 15

Cumilla City Corporation (CoCC) election will be held on June 15. The Election Commission (EC) has announced the schedule for this purpose. Voting will be done through Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) in the city.

This is going to be the first election under the commission headed by Kazi Habibul Awal after taking over as the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC).

The second meeting of the Awal Commission started at 11 am on Monday (April 25) in the EC conference room at Agargaon Election Building in the capital. EC Mohammad Humayun Kabir Khandaker told reporters after the meeting.

The EC secretary said the last day for submission of nomination papers to the returning officer was May 17. Selection of nomination papers is on May 19 and the last date for withdrawal is May 26, allotment of symbols is May 28 and voting is on June 15.
