Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) has arrested five
students of Dhaka College in a case of hacking to the death of Nahid in the clash
in New Market between the traders and the students.
This information was given by DB Chief Additional
Commissioner AKM Hafeez Akter at a press conference held at DMP Media Center on
Thursday (April 28).
The arrested are Abdul Qayyum and Palash, students of
Accounting, Irfan, a student of Social Sciences, Faisal, a student of Bangla
Department, and Junaid Islam of History Department in Dhaka College.
The DB chief said that the arrested persons were directly
involved in Nahid's murder.
It is to be mentioned that the students of Dhaka College
clashed with the shop owners and employees of New Market on the night of April
18 and at noon on April 19. Nahid and Mursalin were killed and more than 50
people were injured. At least three cases have been filed in this regard.
