Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that there
will be no building at Tentultala playground in Kalabagan. The playground will
remain as it was. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given this instruction.
"We are applying for the place in 2017, he said. I
found out that there is no place to play in that area. The Prime Minister also
advised that since there is no place to play, she said the police land
should remain as it is. There should be no construction."
As a result, there is no building for the Kalabagan police
station there. It remains as a playground. The place has been acquired by
the police. He also said that the place will remain with the police.
The Home Minister said this while talking about the location
of the police station building at Tentultala ground in Kalabagan of the capital
on Thursday (April 28).
Meanwhile, the police completed the work of constructing the
wall in the Tentultala field on Wednesday night (April 28). The police have
completed the construction of the walls within the movement of the locals,
environmentalists, and civil society representatives demanding the protection of
the field.
Locals say work on the walls was halted during a protest
rally on Wednesday. After everyone left, work started again. The police
finished the work of building the wall at the night.
The movement has been going on for a long time demanding
protection of the field. On Sunday (April 24), Syeda Ratna and her teenage son
were detained by Kalabagan police and detained for 13 hours. They were later
released on bail at midnight in the face of protests.
