More than one crore people have left the capital Dhaka for the Eid holidays. The number of mobile phone subscribers indicates how many people left for home to celebrate the Eid-ul-Fitr.

The Minister of Posts and Telecommunications Mustafa Jabbar made a post on Monday (May 2) at noon on his verified Facebook page.

The Minister wrote in a Facebook post that the number of SIMs leaving Dhaka city in three days till Sunday (May 1) has exceeded 72 lakh 5 thousand. If approximately 3 million SIMs have left Dhaka in the previous two days, the total number of SIMs has crossed crores. More than 28 lakh SIMs left Dhaka on Sunday.

Last Thursday (April 28) was the last working day before Eid for government employees. This time the government employees are getting six consecutive days off. After six days, if one takes leave next Thursday (May 5), he will be able to enjoy the Eid holidays for 9 consecutive days.
