Train Operation on Padma Bridge from Next March: Rail Min

Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujon said the rail link from Dhaka to Bhanga in Faridpur via Padma Bridge would complete in March next year.

However, he said that if for any reason they fail to achieve the target, it will be launched by June 2023.

The minister made the announcement while inspecting the Padma Bridge rail link project on the spot on Sunday (May 15).

Earlier, the minister had announced last year that the Dhaka-Bhanga rail service would be launched by December. Today, he reiterated that it was not possible to start road and rail services at the same time.
